Sayyid Muhammad Rizvi (born in 1957 in the district of Siwan in India) is an Ulama (theologian) of Twelver Shiism, a speaker and an author. He is the son of sayyid Sa'id Akhtar Rizvi.

Biography

Muhamed Rizvi was born in Saran district, Bihar state, India, in 1957. His father was sayyid Sa'id Akhtar Rizvi. he is second eldest son, lives in Toronto, Canada. hehe studied Arabic, Persian In addition to English.

Migrated with his parents to Africa in Dar-Es-salaam, Tanzaia where he received elementary education in English medium school.

at the age of fifteen, In 1972, he studied for ten years till 1982 in Qom Seminary, Iran . he studied with various teachers. he moved from the levels of muqaddimãt to sutûh (equal to graduate level) and, finally, attended the dars-e kharij [fa] (Ijtihad equal to post-graduate studies) of Ayatullah Hossein Wahid Khorasani.

from 1983 till 1991 he stayed in Vancouver, British Columbia, he was Resident ‘Alim & Imam, Shí‘a Muslim Community of BC, Vancouver he gave lectures, writings, and teachings.in 1987, Simon Fraser University in Vancouver admitted him in the post-graduate program at Masters’ level. he was awarded the Master of Arts degree in History in 1991.

from 1991 till 1996, he moved to Toronto worked as the Director of The Islamic Research and Information Center (IRIC) in North America. he involved in the founding of the As-Sadiq Islamic School, a full time Islamic school from KG to Grade 8 levels. from 1996, he is Resident ‘Alim & Imam, Ja‘fari Islamic Centre, Toronto.

he also gave lectures in Canada and U.S.A., Australia, Guyana, Trinidad, United Kingdom, Dubai, Pakistan, Tanzania and Kenya. and also He gives video and television lectures.
