Biography
A monal is a bird of genus Lophophorus of the pheasant family, Phasianidae. There are three species and several subspecies:
Himalayan monal Lophophorus impejanus. It is the national bird of Nepal.
Sclater's monal Lophophorus sclateri
Chinese monal Lophophorus lhuysii
