Nathaniel Nose

Nathaniel Nose (born 15 February 1983) is an American film editor and actor. He is best known for directing Cut/Print (2012) and The Christ Slayer (2019.)

Nathaniel Nose was born Nathaniel Joseph Nose on 15 February 1983 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He attended DeWitt High School in Clinton County, Michigan. Later, in the years 2001-2006, he attended the Michigan State University, Michigan, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater/Film.

Films

While attending the university, Nose made his acting debut in 2003, appearing as "Keith Meyers" in Invitation. Right after graduating, in 2006, he directed, produced, and edited comedy film, Talent, starring James Ohngren and Finn Wrisley. In 2009, he directed/edited Blood Ties, starring Jason Carter, DJ Perry, and Blair Wojcik.

Over the following years, he worked as an editor for various videos, documentaries, and feature films, including Supermodel Showdown: Costa Rica (2006); Devil's Land, Lost Soul and Avenue of the Stars (2009); and Vatos Locos (2011). In 2011, he appeared in the role of a priest, alongside Damian Chapa, Vanessa Knight, and Gary Private, in the drama, Killer Priest.

His big break came in 2012 when he wrote, directed, and edited a psychological thriller, Cut/Print. In the film shot in Detroit and St. John's area in Michigan, a group of filmmakers set out to create the a "reality horror movie," by recruiting a serial killer and offering him a worldwide platform to display his work in exchange for genuine footage of his grisly crimes. The film was written by Gary Wayne Allison and Vince Orlando, in addition to Nose, and had Ele Bardha, Angela Chetcuti, Chelsey Fatula, Ken Foree, Tamara Frapasella, and Randall Godwin in lead roles.

Most recently, in 2019, Nose directed and edited The Christ Slayer, starring Carl Weyant, Josh Perry, DJ Perry, and Melissa Anschutz.

Music

Nose was part of a Michigan based motown/rock band, The Lexingtons, founded in 2007. Rose was the keyboardist and composer, in the company of Jazmin Gutierrez (trumpet,) Ben LeRoy (guitar,) James Ohngren (drums,) and Courtney Kakebeen (bass guitar.) The band later moved to Los Angeles and performed actively in early to mid 2010s.

Nose currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts and works as a video producer for an audio/video production company in Cambridge.
