Vanessa Nachtmann
Introduction
Vanessa Knight was born Vanessa Nachtmann in Austria.
Career
Knight moved to American to pursue a career in film industry, making her debut in 2000 in Serge Rodnunsky-directed horror film, Voyeur.com. She played the role of Heidi, with Jena Romano and Adam Weiner playing the lead roles. The same year she lent her voice in Jack the Ripper: An On-Going Mystery, a Virginia Williams-directed documentary that looks into the life of the serial killer, Jack the Ripper.
After appearing in minor roles in Space Girls in Beverly Hills (2009, starring Allie Moss and Donna Spangler) and Brando Unauthorized (2010,) Knight got her big break in 2011 in the film, Killer Priest. She appeared in the lead role of "Knight" alongside Damian Chapa, Gary Private, and Nathaniel Nose. The same year saw the release of comedy film, Beach Bar: The Movie –– Knight's first film working in casting department.
In the next few years of working in the casting department, Knight worked as a casting directer for Prudence (2015, starring Melanie Martin and Lina Green.)
Most recently, as an actor, she finished filming for Bliss. Mike Cahill is directing the film with Madeline Zima, Salma Hayek, and Owen Wilson in the lead roles. As a casting director, her last work was for television comedy We're Alive: Goldrush (starring Brenna Otts, Austin Trace, and Jim Gleason among others.)
