Winfield Smith (August 16, 1827 – November 8, 1899) was Attorney General of Wisconsin and a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly.
Biography
Smith was born in Fort Howard, Wisconsin on August 16, 1827. He attended the University of Michigan. Smith died of angina pectoris in London on November 8, 1899.
Career
Smith was Attorney General from 1862 to 1866. Later, he was a member of the Assembly during the 1872 session. He was a Republican.
