William Cook (16 January 1881 – 18 December 1947), also known as William Whalley, was an English cricketer active from 1905 to 1907 who played for Lancashire. He was born in Preston and died in Burnley. He appeared in 11 first-class matches as a batsman with unknown handedness who bowled right arm fast medium pace. He scored 307 runs with a highest score of 46 and held four catches. He took 51 wickets with a best analysis of seven for 64. He changed his name from William Whalleyin about 1902.
