Introduction
Reanne Weruche Opia is a U.K.-based Nigerian film and stage actress and entrepreneur. She currently serves as CEO of her clothing line, Jesus Junkie Clothing.
Early life and education
Opia was born in Nigeria and holds a Bachelor Degree in Drama and Sociology from the University of the West of England, Bristol, England.
Career
Opia made her professional acting debut in 2010 when she appeared on the UK police drama "The Bill". She then worked in a number of theatre productions at The Shakespeare Globe, National Theatre Studios (UK) and Ice and Fire theatre.
In 2010, she joined Renegade Theatre Company, lead by writer and director Wole Oguntokun. She performed in plays such as The Inheritors, The Waiting Room, and Lady in Purple.
In 2013, she appeared in Yomi Black's comedy The Lagos Big Girl's Game which became one of the top 10 most watched Nigerian videos of 2013.
In 2015, she was nominated for the "Nollywood Actress of the Year" award at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
Opia also has her own clothing line called Jesus Junkie Clothing.
She is currently the lead in Nigerian Romantic comedy, When Love Happens.
