Introduction

Weird Sounding Dude is the alter-ego of Abhijith Hegde (born April 28, 1990) is a Bangalore based Indian Music Producer and DJ. His spectrum of sounds aligns on the emotions of the listeners and these frequencies on the spectrum ensures that the listeners are driven through a time lapsed musical journey, with sounds ranging from Progressive House to Techno to Tech House and every now and then resonating the frequencies of Deep House.
In 2014 Weird Sounding Dude won a DJ Competition by “Reset” and performed at the Bangalore Edition Of Reset Festival. Later that year (2014) Weird Sounding Dude won the “Sunburn Wavo Contest” and performed at Sunburn Festival, Asia’s biggest dance music festival-SunBurnFestival]. In 2014 Weird Sounding Dude got nominated for VH1 MyFav DJ of the year awards (Techno DJ category)

Career

Weird Sounding Dude was born in Bangalore, India, and raised in a family that had no musical backgrounds. Weird Sounding Dude was never into music, he was a sport enthusiast, it was in the year 2011 he was exposed to electronic dance music and he instantly hooked onto to it. As a DJ Weird Sounding Dude has performed at various clubs in and around Bangalore and Chennai such as F Bar (Bangalore), The Warehouse (Bangalore), Sanctum (Bangalore), Counter Culture (Bangalore), Q-Bar (Chennai). Weird Sounding Dude also performed for music festivals like Sunburn Goa and Reset.


Weird Sounding Dude also did few notable DJ guest mixes for frisky Radio, Proton Radio

In 2013 Weird Sounding Dude kick started his career as Music Producer, it just took him a year to land releases on Electronic Dance Music elite labels like Traum Schallplatten, Juicebox Music,& System Recordings.

Weird Sounding Dude’s remix for Diego Azocar Homenaje received huge support from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo who supported the remix in his Resident Podcast and CID INC. who charted and supported the remix in his promo mix and in a live show at Akvarium Budapest, Hungary. In 2015 Weird Sounding Dude released Balnazzar on one of the oldest Techno imprints in Electronic Dance Music Traum Schallplatten.

Weird Sounding Dude was invited by Mitch Alexander of Change Underground for an interview and to talk about his upcoming remix release of Stephano Pfrunebelli's "Looking For Silence" on Symmetric Recordings.
