Touch the Clouds (aka Maȟpíya Ičáȟtagya or Maȟpíya Íyapatʰa) was a chief of the Minneconjou Teton Lakota Sioux, and a contemporary of Crazy Horse. He was a great warrior, diplomat, and leader.

The Battle of Little Bighorn, also known as Custer's Last Stand, was a battle between the Lakota Sioux, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapaho tribes against the U.S. Army's 7th Cavalry. Touch the Clouds fought on the side of the Native American forces, and it was a major victory for them.
When did Touch the Clouds pass away?
Touch the Clouds passed away on September 5, 1905 at the age of 67. He was buried with full military honors at Fort Riley, Kansas.
