Ted Ammon

Theodore Edward Ammon, known as Ted Ammon, was an American financier and investment banker.

Ammon was born in Pittsburgh and grew up in Mattituck, New York. He attended the prestigious Phillips Exeter Academy and went on to Dartmouth College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in economics. He later earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Ammon began his career in finance as an investment banker at Salomon Brothers in New York City. He later co-founded the merchant bank White Weld & Co. and became a partner at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., a private equity firm.

Ted Ammon was found dead in his East Hampton, New York, mansion on October 22, 2001. He had been bludgeoned to death. His murder case gained significant media attention and led to the arrest and conviction of his estranged wife, Generosa Ammon's lover and handyman, Daniel Pelosi.

Ted Ammon's tragic murder and subsequent trial brought attention to issues of wealth, class, and domestic violence. His murder case was the subject of a number of books and television shows. Additionally, his estate became a source of legal battles between his two adopted children and his estranged wife's family.
