Introduction

Stephen Charles Blacklow is a Gustavus Adolphus Pfeiffer Professor of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology and Chairman of the Department of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Harvard Medical School and Professor of Pathology and Cancer Biology at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Dana–Farber Cancer Institute. He is a fellow of The Pew Charitable Trusts (1999).

Education and career

Stephen Blacklow received BA from Harvard College in 1983, an MD from Harvard Medical School and PhD in chemistry from Harvard University in 1991. Following graduation he was a resident in clinical pathology at Brigham and Women's Hospital and worked as postdoc at the Whitehead Institute with Peter S. Kim. In 1996 Blacklow joined the faculty of Stanford University and two years later joined Brigham and Women's Hospital of Harvard Medical School as their faculty in pathology.

In 2015, Stephen Blacklow, Michael Eck, Andrew Kruse and Joseph Loparo have studied coiled coil.
