Robert Stuart

Robert Stuart was an American fur trader and explorer who is best known for leading a party of American fur traders through what is now Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming in 1812–1813. He is credited with discovering what later became the South Pass, a crucial mountain pass on the Oregon Trail.
