Robert F. Spada is a former Republican member of the Ohio Senate, representing the 24th District of the U.S. state of Ohio from 1999 to 2008.

Robert F. Spada, also known as Bob Spada, attended Cleveland State University, Cleveland, Ohio, in the years 1966–1970 and graduated with a Business Administration degree in Accounting. Later, in the years 1975–1977, he attended Baldwin-Wallace College, Berea, Ohio, earning a Master of Business Administration degree in Systems Management.

Spada was the Ohio state senator representing the 24th District from February 1999 to November 2008. In that role, he had helped to pass Ohio's Mental Health Parity Bill, which had languished in the legislature for more than 24 years before finally becoming a reality in 2006. Before that, he was the President, Parma Heights City Council, from 1991 to 1999.

In the summer of 2015, Spada was elected to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the nation’s largest grassroots organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness.
