

Introduction
Ralf Trapp (born February, 23 1953 in Erfurt) is a German chemist. He works as consultant for Chemical weapons control.
Trapp received 1978 a Ph.D at the Technical University „Carl Schorlemmer“ in Leuna‑Merseburg and in 1986 be became a member in Akademie der Wissenschaften der DDR in Leipzig, as Dr. sc. nat.. After his Ph.D. he worked in a working group for toxikologie at University Leipzig. During the GDRs existence, he worked for the Stockholm Peace Research Institute SIPRI. Subsequently, he was involved in the disarmament negotiations of the GDR in policy consulting. He worked for the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
Since 2006 he has worked as a freelance consultant for UN agencies such as the United Nations Office on Disarmament (CTITF), the HRC Syria Commission, the OPCW, the European Commission, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, "spiez laboratory", and also for SIPRI.
