Biography

Charles Peter Crittle AO (born 21 July 1939) is an Australian former barrister, rugby union player and official. As a lock, he made 15 test match appearances for the Australia national rugby union team from 1962–1967. He served as President of the New South Wales Rugby Union from 1993-99, and became President of the Australian Rugby Union in 2001. In 2004, he became an officer of the Order of Australia for his rugby achievements, and in 2005, he received the Vernon Pugh Award for distinguished service from the International Rugby Board.
