Peter Salmon Collecott, CMG, was the British Ambassador to Brazil from 2004 to 2008.

Biography

  • Born on 8 October 1950.
  • Graduated in Mathematics from St John's College, Cambridge, where he was Captain of Soccer.
  • PhD degree in Theoretical Physics from University of Cambridge.
  • Married Judith Patricia Pead in 1982.

Career

  • Entered Diplomatic Service in 1977.
  • Studied Arabic before a posting as First Secretary in Khartoum in 1980.
