Introduction

Pål Kolstø (født 3. mai 1953) er en norsk professor i Russlandstudier ved Universitetet i Oslo.

Pål Kolstø studerte ved Universitetet i Oslo og ble cand. philol. med hovedfag i idéhistorie i 1982. Fra 1987 til 1990 arbeidet han ved Institutt for forsvarsstudier. I 1995 tok han doktorgraden med en avhandling om Lev Tolstojs forhold til russisk-ortodoks tro. Kolstø har arbeidet med russisk kulturhistorie, idéhistorie og kirkehistorie.
