Biography
Marcy Clay alias Jenny Fox (d. 1665), was an English highwayrobber.
Originally a shoplifter active in London, she eventually became active in hugwayrobbery, dressing as a man. She became famous in her time as the subject of a pamphlet, recording her crimes and praising her skill with sword and pistol.
She was condemned to hang at Tyburn, but avoided execution by committing suicide in prison by use of poison. Crowds of spectators reportedly viewed her at her deathbed.
