Introduction

Manu Chandra is an Indian chef. He is the chef-partner at the Olive Cafes South Pvt.Ltd helmed by A.D. Singh the Managing Director at Olive Group. A graduate of St.Stephen's Delhi, and the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) in Hyde Park, New York. He is also the Bengaluru Chapter Head, for the National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI).
On November 24, 2019 Monkey Bar was one of the many Bengaluru pubs closed down due to the ongoing issue of licenses.

Early life

At the CIA, he was the class valedictorian for the class of 2002 and he has worked at some prestigious places like Gramercy Tavern, Jean-Georges and Mandarin Oriental. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Sea Food Masters Award for the National Recipe Competition 2002 and he traveled to Norway to work with the Michelin starred Chef Eyvind Hellstrom at Bagatelle.
