

Introduction
Lisa Marie Bodnar is an American nutritional and perinatal epidemiologist. She is the Vice-Chair for Research and a professor at University of Pittsburgh.
Education
In 1998, Lisa M. Bodnar graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a major in Nutrition from UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health. She completed a Master of Public Health with a major in Nutrition at UNC Chapel Hill. Bodnar earned a doctor of philosophy in nutrition with a minor in epidemiology from UNC Chapel Hill in 2002. Her dissertation was titled "Predictors of iron status during pregnancy and the postpartum period." Bodnar's doctoral advisor was Anna Maria Siega-Riz. From 2002 to 2004, she conducted her postdoctoral research in reproductive biology at Magee-Womens Research Institute and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Bodnar is a nutritional and perinatal epidemiologist. She is the Vice-Chair for Research and a professor of epidemiology at University of Pittsburgh. Bodnar has a secondary appointment in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences.
