Biography

John Alexander Ellison (born 1940) was the Anglican Bishop of Paraguay from 1988 to 2007.
Ellison was educated at the London College of Divinity and ordained in 1968, he began his career with Curacies at St Paul’s Woking and St Saviours Belgrano, Buenos Aires. In 1983 he was appointed Vicar of St Mary the Virgin Aldridge, a post he held until his appointment to the episcopate. Having retired, he is now an honorary assistant bishop in the Diocese of Winchester.
