Introduction

John Davidson (1886 – 1968) was an American stage and film actor. He is known for acting in Adventures of Captain Marvel (1941), Dick Tracy vs. Crime, Inc. (1941) and Perils of Pauline (1933).

Early life and career

Davidson was born on December 25, 1886, in New York City, NY. He began his acting career on stage in 1911, and moved to acting in films in 1915. In the years that followed, until 1963, he appeared in 148 films.

His first film was Reginald Barker directed, The Alien in 1915, in which he appeared alongside George Beban and Blanche Schwed. In 1941, he appeared alongside Frank Coghlan Jr. and Tom Tyler in William Witney and John English directed Adventures of Captain Marvel.

Death

Davidson died on January 16, 1968 in Los Angeles, California.
