Introduction

Jan Dost (born 1965) is a Syrian Kurdish poet, writer and translator. He has several novels in Kurdish and Arabic and is one of the prolific Kurdish writers. He was born in 1965 in Kobanî. Jan Dost is a recipient of Galawej prize(a prize in Kurdish literature). He also has translated some Kurdish and Persian works to Arabic, including Mem and Zin the famous work of Ahmad Khani.
