Introduction

Hideki Taniuchi (タニウチ ヒデキ) is a Japanese composer. He was composer of some of the Death Note original soundtracks and Real Drive and composer of the music for Akagi and Kaiji anime series. He also composed music used in the anime Aoi Bungaku and the "Heian Chapter" of the anime Otogi Zoshi. In addition to composing music for anime television series, Taniuchi performed opening theme songs for Hajime no Ippo as a guitarist in the rock band Shocking Lemon.

In May 2012, Taniuchi was arrested in Kanagawa Prefecture on marijuana charges.
