Introduction

Heather Edelson (born April 4, 1981) is an American politician and member of the Minnesota House of Representatives. A member of the Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL), she represents District 49A in the western Twin Cities metropolitan area.

Early life, education, and career

Edelson was raised in north Minneapolis and attended Columbia Heights Public Schools. She attended the University of Minnesota, graduating with a Master of Social Work.

Edelson has worked as a mental health therapist.

Minnesota House of Representatives

Edelson was first elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 2018, defeating Republican incumbent Dario Anselmo.

Personal life

Edelson and her husband, Brett, have three children. She resides in Edina, Minnesota.
