Biography
Gisburg (born in 1966 as Gisburg Smialek ) is an Austrian composer and singer of Slovenian origin, born in Salzburg in Austria.
She originally began by studying flute with Dieter Schnebel, and later touring with his vocal group "Die Maulwerker".
Gisburg moved to New York City in 1992. She has recorded 3 CDs with her own compositions on John Zorn’s label Tzadik.
