Introduction
Frank Bernard Walker (born August 6, 1981) is a former American football cornerback. He was drafted by the New York Giants in the sixth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played college football at Tuskegee.
Walker has also been a member of the Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens, Minnesota Vikings, Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys.
College career
Walker played college football at Tuskegee University. He finished his career with 92 tackles, two sacks and six interceptions.
Professional career
New York Giants
Walker was originally selected by the New York Giants in the sixth round (207th overall) in the 2003 NFL Draft. In his rookie season he played in ten games recording 74 tackles and two interceptions. He made his first NFL appearance on October 26 at the Minnesota Vikings. The following season, he made 18 tackles and two interceptions. In 2005, he only made one tackle and one interception. In his final year with the Giants, he played in 11 games recording 13 tackles.
Green Bay Packers
On March 13, 2007, Walker signed a one-year deal with the Green Bay Packers. Despite being brought in to play as the 3rd CB on the depth chart, Walker played a reduced role with the Packers during their 13-3 regular season run to their eventual loss to the New York Giants in the 2007 NFC Championship game. After Walker's one-year deal expired, he choose not to re sign with the Packers due to his lack of playing time.
Baltimore Ravens
On March 13, 2008, Walker was signed by the Baltimore Ravens. He had one interception in 2008 and 2009 each, but struggled with penalties. In December, 2008, Walker was accused of spitting in the mouth of Pittsburgh Steelers punter/holder Mitch Berger after Jeff Reed kicked an extra point in Pittsburgh's 13-9 win.He appeared to have tried to dive into Reed's knees. A brief scuffle ensued. Berger apparently tried to break it up. At that point the spitting was supposed to have occurred. Walker denied the incident being intentional.
Minnesota Vikings
Walker signed with the Minnesota Vikings on October 13, 2010.
Tennessee Titans
On August 3, 2011, Walker signed with the Tennessee Titans, but was released in September.
Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys signed Walker on September 13, 2011. He played in 14 games (starting none), with 25 tackles and an interception, which he returned five yards.
He was not re-signed.
