Eric Weems

Eric Weems is a former American football wide receiver and return specialist. He played college football at Bethune-Cookman, where he excelled as a return specialist. In the NFL, he played for the Atlanta Falcons, Chicago Bears, and Tennessee Titans.

Eric Weems played for three different teams during his NFL career. He started his career with the Atlanta Falcons, where he played from 2007 to 2011. He then spent two seasons with the Chicago Bears from 2012 to 2013. Lastly, he played for the Tennessee Titans from 2016 to 2017.

As a return specialist, Eric Weems had several notable accomplishments. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2010 for his outstanding performance as a kick returner. Weems also led the NFL in kickoff return yards in 2010 and ranked in the top five in punt return yards for multiple seasons. He is considered one of the most successful return specialists in recent NFL history.

While Eric Weems was primarily known for his skills as a return specialist, he also played as a wide receiver during his NFL career. Although he did not have the same level of success as a receiver, he contributed as a role player and made some significant catches throughout his career. Weems was valued for his versatility and ability to contribute on special teams.

Eric Weems officially retired from professional football on June 13, 2018. After retiring, he transitioned into coaching, joining the Atlanta Legends of the now-defunct Alliance of American Football as a wide receivers coach.
