Introduction

Eddie Paea (born 8 February 1988 in Sydney, New South Wales) is an Australian professional Rugby Union player who currently plays for Krasny Yar Rugbyin the Russian Championship Competition. He previously played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Career

Paea made his NRL debut in round 26 of the 2006 season for the Rabbitohs against the Wests Tigers. A Junior Kiwi, Paea was named in both the Tonga training squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup and the New Zealand training squad, but he was finally selected for the Tonga squad in October. Paea scored his first senior international try in the World Cup match against Scotland on 8 November 2008. He also converted one try.

In 2012, Paea made his debut for the Tongan Rugby National Team (IKALE TAHI) in the Pacific Nations Cup Game against Fiji as a substitute.

Paea currently plays Rugby Union in Krasnoyarsk Russia for Kransy Yaras a first-5. They are currently the holders of the Russian Cup and were the 2015 Russian Champions.
