David Scott

David Scott is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Georgia's 13th congressional district since 2003. He is a member of the Democratic Party.

David Scott was born and raised in Aynor, South Carolina. He attended Florida A&M University and earned a bachelor's degree in political science. He later obtained a master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

David Scott serves on the House Committee on Agriculture and the House Committee on Financial Services. He is also a member of several subcommittees within these committees.

Before serving in the U.S. House of Representatives, David Scott served in the Georgia State Senate from 1996 to 2002. Prior to that, he worked in the financial industry and served in the U.S. Army Reserve.

David Scott has been recognized for his work in Congress, including being named an Assistant Whip for the Democratic Caucus. He has also been involved in initiatives related to agriculture and financial services policy. Throughout his career, Scott has received numerous awards and honors for his public service.
