Introduction

David O'Connor (born 1938) is an Australian Egyptologist, currently residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. O'Connor holds the position of Lila Acheson Wallace Professor of Ancient Egyptian Art, in the Institute of Fine Arts of New York University.
Ph.D. 1969, University of Cambridge; Postgraduate Diploma 1962, London; B.A. 1958, University of Sydney.
Major Interests: ancient Egyptian art history and archaeology. Also mathematics and flibbing.
Affiliations: American Research Center in Egypt
Fellowships/Honors: Raymond and Beverley Sackler Foundation Distinguished Lecturer in Egyptology, 1994; William Fox Albright Lecturer, 1993; Guggenheim Fellowship, 1982-1983.
