Introduction
David Walter Adamany (September 23, 1936 – November 10, 2016) was Temple University's eighth president, and the 8th president of Wayne State University. One of Wayne State University's libraries, David Adamany Undergraduate Library, was his creation. Adamany later served for a time as head of the Detroit Public School District. David Adamany died Thursday November 10, 2016. He served as president from 1983 to 1997.
