

Introduction
Danny Yong (born 1972) is a Singaporean hedge fund manager. He is the co-founder of Dymon Asia Capital . It was one of 2011’s best performers, delivering net returns in excess of 20%.
Career
In 1997, Yong began working as a trader at JPMorgan Chase & Co. He moved to Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong in February 2000 after being offered a job during a vacation in that country, later relocating to the offices in Japan as head of trading for South Asian derivatives, fixed income and forex. He joined Kenneth Griffin's Citadel in November 2005 and became a managing partner and chief investment officer of Abax Global Capital Ltd. in February 2007, a job he departed in 2009. In 2008, he started Dymon Asia Capital (Singapore) Pte.
Yong has hired a CEO to run his fund, but maintains his role as chief investment officer.
Personal life
Yong's father died when he was just 10 years old. In 1992, Yong was serving his military service, becoming operations officer of the 24th Battalion of the Singapore Artillery. After serving in the military, he achieved first class honors in business and finance at Singapore’s Nanyang University. Yong and his wife, whom he met while working at JPMorgan Chase & Co, have three children.
