Introduction

Dabier Snell (born 13 May 1995) is an American musician and film and television actor known for his roles in Glee (2014), Everybody Hates Chris (2005-2006), and Black Lightning (2018-2019).

Early life

Snell was born Dabir Kalif Snell on May 13, 1995, in Los Angeles, California. 

Career

Snell has been performing from a young age; in 2003, aged 8, he was seen in Trey Haley directed comedy video Sweet Oranges. The following year, he was seen in the role of "Steve" in the "Career Day" episode of The Tracy Morgan Show. In 2005, he got the chance to portray the younger version of noted singer/dancer Michael Jackson on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

In the following years, Snell was seen in various roles in a wide variety of successful TV series and movies including Everybody Hates Chris (2005-2006), House (2007), Rizzoli & Isles (2010), Glee (2014), and Marlon (2018) among others. In 2018, he was cast in the recurring role of "Will" in the TV series Black Lightning. He was seen in 4 episodes: The Resurrection (2018), LaWanda: The Book of Hope (2018), Sins of the Father (2018), and The Book of Secrets: Chapter Four: Original Sin (2019).

In the news

In June 2020, Snell tweeted in support of her Glee co-star Samantha Marie Ware after she accused Lea Michele of making the Glee a "living hell" due to "traumatic microaggressions." Snell tweeted: "GIRL YOU WOULDNT LET ME SIT AT THE TABLE WITH THE OTHER CAST MEMBERS CAUSE "I DIDNT BELONG THERE" F*** YOU LEA".

Besides Snell, other Glee cast members Alex Newell and Amber Riley also tweeted in support of Ware.

Willam Bart Belli, a model and former contestant on "RuPaul's Drag Race," also added that Lea Michele had treated him "so subhuman" he'd left "Glee."
