Biography
Cuanman (爨蠻) was originally an ethnic group in northern Yuannan, China. They dominated Yunnan during the Southern Dynasties period. During the Tang dynasty, a branch, Wuman (烏蠻), founded Nanzhao (南詔). In Wudai, another branch, Baiman (白蠻), founded Dali (大理).
