Biography

Clifford Murray (February 14, 1970) is an American swimming coach from Alaska. Murray is best known as the head coach of Northern Lights Swim Club (NLSC) in Anchorage, Alaska. Murray is also the current head coach of the South Anchorage High School Swimming & Diving Wolverines(SAHS)

In Fairbanks, Alaska Murray has served as the assistant coach of Midnight Sun Swim Team (MSST) beginning in 1991. In 1993 Murray earned the head coach position at MSST until moving to Anchorage in 1998. Murray has been the head coach of NLSC since moving to Anchorage.

Murray has been awarded the Alaska Swimming Senior Coach of the Year five times (1999, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2016) and was presented the USA Swimming Outstanding Service Award in 2013.

Murray is known as "The Godfather" of Alaska Swimming and is the longest tenured head coach in Alaska Swimming.
