Introduction

Jeffrey Page Kyei (born May 11, 1988), better known by his stage name Big Page, is a Canadian hip-hop recording artist from Toronto, Ontario. He is best known for his 2009 single "I'm Still Fly", a collaboration with Drake and U.G.O. Crew that was nominated for the Juno Award for Rap Recording of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2010.

Early life

Big Page was born on May 11, 1988, in a West End neighborhood of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His parents are from Ghana in West Africa. He spent much of his youth on the football field and was later scouted to play for the Boise State Broncos football team of Boise State University in Idaho. After several run-ins with the law, Page followed the advice of his Mother and childhood friend Sean Getti and turned to creating music.

Career

Page rose to prominence in 2007 when his debut single "Ballin' Is My Hobby" became popular in his hometown. The video for the remix of the song featured New York rapper Mims and aired on MuchMusic. His next single "I'm Still Fly" featuring rapper Drake, who was still unsigned at the time, was released in 2009 and garnered significant attention in the hip-hop community and led to the still-unresolved conflict between the two rappers.
