Bertram S. Brown (born January 28, 1931) is an American psychiatrist who was the head of the National Institute of Mental Health from 1970–1977, Assistant Surgeon General from 1978-1980, and President of Hahnemann University from 1983-1987. He pioneered research in psychiatric health, especially in mental disabilities, and lives today in Philadelphia.
