Introduction

Baxter Hunt is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service who is serving as Chargé d'Affaires a.i. at the US Embassy in Santiago, Chile since January 2019.Before that, he was Deputy Chief of Mission in Santiago (since August, 2017) and Deputy Executive Secretary in the Office of the Secretary of State.

Hunt was a Presidential Management Intern working in the State Department, the Department of Defense and the National Security Council before entering the Foreign Service.
