Aileen Getty (born July 14, 1957) is an American philanthropist from the famed Getty family.
Early life and family
Aileen Getty was born on July 14, 1957, in Los Angeles, California, the eldest daughter of John Paul Getty II (1932-2003) and his first wife Gail Harris. Her grandfather is oil baron Jean Paul Getty.
Aileen is the aunt of Balthazar Getty and Anna Getty.
Media appearances
In 2008, Getty was seen in Gisela Getty's documentary Tim Leary: The Art of Dying with Dennis Hopper (narrator), Allen Ginsberg, Robert Anton Wilson, Ram Dass, John Perry Barlow, etc.
In 2013, she was featured in Sharon Wood-written documentary The Battle of Amfar alongside Kenneth Cole, Ted Kennedy, Rock Hudson, Mathilde Krim, Ted Landau, etc.
Philanthropy
Getty is HIV positive since 1985 and works for AIDS awareness causes, along with former mother-in-law Elizabeth Taylor. In November 2016, she joined the board of amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research.
In 2013, Getty founded Aileen Getty Foundation, of which she is currently the President. Earlier in 2005, she also founded Gettlove, a nonprofit organization created to acknowledge, house, and sustain housing for numerous homeless individuals who are part of the Los Angeles community.

Personal life
Getty had been married three times. Her first marriage was with sound editor Christopher Edward Wilding from August 26, 1981, until the divorce in 1988. Wilding is the son of the actors Michael Wilding (1912-1979) and Elizabeth Taylor (1932-2011). Getty and Wilding had two children Andrew (born 1986) and Caleb (born 1987).
She then married Scott Padilla in 1990; the marriage ended in divorce (date unknown).
In November 2004, Getty married her third and current husband Bertolomeo dei Principi Ruspoli, son of actors Dado Ruspoli and Debra Berger. Through this marriage, Getty is the sister-in-law of filmmaker Tao Ruspoli and actress Olivia Wilde.
