Introduction
Ziad Doueiri (Arabic: زياد دويري ) is a Lebanese-born cinematographer, film director and writer. He is best known for his award-winning film West Beirut.
Career
Doueiri first gained notice from his work under Quentin Tarantino as camera assistant for movies that include Jackie Brown, From Dusk Till Dawn, Pulp Fiction, and Reservoir Dogs.
Doueiri worked between Los Angeles and Beirut until not long after September 2011, after which he returned to work from Beirut.

Doueiri's brother Rami starred in West Beirut.
Doueiri has expressed opposition to boycotts of Israel, and in 2013 defended his decision to shoot a film in Israel featuring Israeli actors.
