Kathy Griffin goes full ISIS: 'Beheads' Trump in a photo
Kathleen Mary "Kathy" Griffin, or Kathy Griffin, a comedian, and provocateur has finally achieved the fame, or the notoriety, she had been chasing; she posed for a photo holding a mock "decapitated" head of President Donald Trump.
Friend text me this "I hear Tijuana is beautiful this time of year."https://t.co/JsP1paLxjB— Tyler Shields (@tylershields) May 30, 2017
The gory photo was shot by celebrated photographer Tyler Shields, who knows the art of shocking people. "Tyler and I are not afraid to make images that make noise," Griffin said in a behind-the-scenes video Shields shared on YouTube.
The images were first published by TMZ on Tuesday. Needless to say, it didn't go down well with the Trump supporters, and even Trump's adversaries. Griffin tried to convince people by saying on Twitter, "OBVIOUSLY, I do not condone ANY violence by my fans or others to anyone, ever! I'm merely mocking the Mocker in Chief."
The topic has been trending on Twitter for a while, and people have been responding with a varying degree of distaste for the photo.
@TMZ She is one disgusting human being! I hope she is shunned forever......— Lucas Day (@Lukelakers) May 30, 2017
@TMZ Great non volient message from the peaceful liberals NOT— Roy B (@Roy1911_45) May 30, 2017
Shields doesn't regret this collaboration with Griffin, saying, "I can't speak for her, but I know she loves to stir the pot," and continued, "For me, I love the idea we have freedom of speech. The fact that I'm allowed to make an image like this says a lot. To me, that's a powerful thing... nobody's killed me for this image so it's not that bad. I love Kathy and I hope they let me visit her in Guantanamo."
People on Twitter are desperately waiting for President Donald Trump to say Griffin is a failed comedian.
