During the 2008 MTV Movie Awards, while presenting the award for the best summer movie, James Franco and Seth Rogen, pulled out a bag of weed and a joint and smoked it on live television. And while smoking, they kept saying, the weed is fake. 

  • Miley Cyrus

At the 2013 MTV EMAs in Amsterdam, Miley Cyrus went to the stage to accept the award for the best video for "wrecking ball." She then took a joint out of her purse, lit it up, began smoking, and said "Thank you guys very much" as she left the stage.

Comedienne Joan Rivers smoked a bowl of marijuana in a February 2012 episode of the reality show Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best. The joint made her so high that she had to call her daughter Melissa to pick her up.

  • Bill Maher and Killer Mike

Bill Maher has always been in favor of legalizing marijuana. In a February 2016 episode of Real Time, Maher, while going on with his monologue about marijuana legalization, lit up a joint and began smoking on live TV. He then passed it to Killer Mike who also smoked live. The other guests on the panel were Ana Navarro, Josh Green and Margaret Cho.

In 2010, Zach Galifianakis sat down with Bill Maher, Margaret Hoover, and other guests, on Real Time with Bill Maher to discuss California Proposition 19. A few minutes into the debate, Galifianakis took a joint out of his pocket, lit it, and began smoking it. He then passed the joint to Hoover, who smelled it and confirmed that it was the real thing.

Snoop Dogg

Snoop Dogg, or Snoop Lion, went on HuffPost Live on 22 April 2013 to discuss his new film and album. The interviewer pulled out a joint and gave it to Snoop, who smoked it live on air. "It's too late to put it out," Lion said while smoking.
