Introduction

Yang Yang (born 1958) is the Carol and Lawrence E. Tannas, Jr., Chair in Engineering professor currently at UCLA and originally from Taiwan. He has contributed in several fields but is most well known for his work in transparent solar cells. His work has been reported by NPR, Bloomberg, Time Magazine, USA Today, and the LA Times.

Education

He earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan in 1982. And received MS and PhD in Physics and Applied Physics from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell in 1988 and 1992, respectively.
