Introduction

María Victoria Losada Gómez (born 5 March 1991), commonly known as Vicky Losada, is a Spanish football midfielder currently playing for FC Barcelona in Spain's Primera División. She is a member of the Spanish national team.

Club career

Losada's career in the Primera División (Spanish League) with exception one season (the 2007–08 season which she played for RCD Espanyol), were played for FC Barcelona where she won four Leagues and three Spanish Cups.

In 2014 she played in the American NWSL for Western New York Flash, where she was voted the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Player of the Week by the media for Week 1 of the 2014-15 season. Before returning to Barcelona for the 2014 NWSL season.

Arsenal announced the signing of Losada on January 22, 2015 having previously worked with manager Pedro Martínez Losa in the United States.

She returned to FC Barcelona in 2016.

International career

She is a member of the Spanish national team. In June 2013 national team coach Ignacio Quereda selected Losada in the squad for UEFA Women's Euro 2013 in Sweden.

Losada was also part of the squad for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup in Canada and at their opening match on 9 June, she scored Spain's first ever World Cup goal against Costa Rica, opening the match score, which would eventually finish 1–1.
