Biography
Tommy Karpency (born January 10, 1986) is an American professional boxer who fights in the light heavyweight division. He debuted pro boxing at the age of 20 and has spent the majority of his career boxing on the American circuit managing to win the regional WBA Fedecentro title in 2009. He is the three-time world title challenger for the WBO, IBO and WBC light heavyweight titles and holds a notable win over former WBO, WBC and IBO title holder Chad Dawson.
He has boxed outside of the USA on two occasions. First in Germany against Karo Murat and second against WBO titleholder Nathan Cleverly in Cardiff, Wales. He lost both fights by unanimous decisions over 12 rounds.
