Biography
Introduction
Tim Crowther (19 November 1958) has presented for BBC Radio Leeds since the late 1970s, whilst he was still a student at the City of Leeds College of Music. Since then, he has hosted breakfast, mid-morning, lunchtime, afternoon and drivetime programmes, as well as a range of daytime and weekend programmes.
Tim presented a show with horticulturist Joe Maiden for 22 and a half years until Mr Maiden's death in September 2015. He is now professionally partnered with horticultural expert Graham Porter, and the programme continues as one of BBC radio's top gardening phone-ins.
An offshoot of the programme is the Sunday Gardening Podcast, which has recently been voted in the top three of the Telegraph's selection.
