Introduction
Teal Redmann (born September 30, 1982) is an American film and television actress best known for playing "Louise Grant" in Gilmore Girls on the WB TV network.
Career
Teal Redmann was born Brittany Teal Redmann in Minnesota on September 30, 1982. She began her acting career at a young age while attending school. In 1992, aged 10, she had a minor role in Stephen Herek's teen comedy The Mighty Ducks starring Emilio Estevez, Joss Ackland, Lane Smith, Heidi Kling, and Josef Sommer. Her big break came when she was cast as "Dr. Tess Adkins" in John Lafia's TV movie Chameleon 3: Dark Angel (2000) alongside Bobbie Phillips, Alex Kuzelicki, Doug Penty, and Suzi Dougherty.
That year, Redmann also landed the recurring part of "Louise Grant" in Amy Sherman-Palladino's coming-of-age TV Series Gilmore Girls. She was seen in 34 episodes, (seasons 1–4,) playing a high school friend of "Paris Geller" (Liza Weil) and "Rory Gilmore" (Alexis Bledel). In 2001, she was also seen as "Annie Webb" in an episode of Boston Public (FOX). In 2002, she starred as "Nicky Williams" (with black hair) in the Disney Channel movie Double Teamed alongside Poppi Monroe, Annie McElwain, Nick Searcy, and Tanya Shanti Goott.
After leaving Gilmore Girls, Redmann next played "Ellie Brass" in 5 episodes (2005 through 2014) of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Her last screen appearance was in 2022, in the role of "Dr. Emily Warren" in Will Klipstine's supernatural horror The Harbinger starring Irene Bedard, Madeleine McGraw, and Amanda MacDonald.
Misc
In 2011, Redmann supported the "Dream Again Campaign" for Love146, a U.S.-based 501 non-profit international anti-child trafficking organization.
