Srdjan Djokovic

Srdjan Djokovic is a Serbian restaurateur. He is the father of tennis player, Novak Djokovic.

In his early days, Srdjan worked as a professional skier and ski instructor. Later, he opened a restaurant and sports equipment business in the Serbian mountains. Srdjan was married to Dijana, and Novak, their first child, was born in May 1987.

Novak’s family has been the most important support system for Novak’s Tennis career, and Srdjan plays a pivotal role. In an interview with Newsweek.com, Srdjan says: 

All of us—even his own family and his coaches—were unimportant. Everything was done to make Novak achieve what he has achieved today. As soon as I saw a small thing not going as planned, I would go somewhere else, for another coach.
