Introduction
Peter Ash (born 4 February 1985) is an English film and television actor. He is most famously known for playing the role of "Paul Foreman" in British television series Coronation Street.
Early life
Peter Ash was born on 4 February 1985 in Marsden, England, UK.
He went to St. Matthews RC High School, in Moston, Manchester, where he participated in school plays with local AmDram theatre groups. Later, he attended Xaverian College in Rusholme, Manchester.
Career
Peter Ash made his acting debut in 2003, aged 18, appearing in the role of "Colin" in two episodes of television series Blue Murder. The role helped him land the recurring role of "Keith Jowell" in the TV series Casualty. The same year he also began portraying the character of "Darius Fry" in the TV series Footballers' Wives. He appeared in 21 episodes, from January 2003 to March 2006. He subsequently played the character in six episodes of Footballers Wive$: Overtime (2006.)
He made his film debut in 2005 with the comedy film Chicken Tikka Masala, starring Chris Bisson and Saeed Jaffrey.
In 2008/2009, he made guest appearance in television series The Royal, and The Street. In 2012, he was seen in the character of "Ellipsis" in action film Broken Hearts.
In 2018, he was seen in TV Series Hollyoaks, playing "Ron," an acquaintance of Harley Frater (played by Mollie Lambert.)
In 2018, he began playing his most memorable role of "Paul Foreman" in Coronation Street. The character was previously a cellmate of David Platt (played by Jack P. Shepherd) in Highfield Prison, in 2018. It was later revealed that Foreman is the estranged twin brother of Gemma Winter (played by Dolly-Rose Campbell.)
Ash won 2020 National Television Award for Best Newcomer for his work in Coronation Street.
Personal life
He is a second cousin of fellow actor William Ash.
